Klaus Hommels and why we need a new Era of Growth
It's always a good Idea to listen, If the legendary european VC Klaus Hommels speak up some words on stage.Â
Klaus has always some interesting thoughts to help us understanding how the forces of the current "VC"-Europe, are spread & work behind the curtain.
If you don't know him, he's one of the most prolific venture capitalist in Europe and invested early in AirBnB (european roll-out), Spotify and Skype with his fund Lakestar from Zurich. (for gen z people, It's like Zoom)
His keynote in a nutshell... Klaus thinks, that we need a new era of growth in Europe to not loose our position against other big markets.
His advice... use the run for sustainable ESG solutions to start a new industry in Europe.
I think we need to listen to him for the better and worse... Europe is losing enormous amounts of cash flows in the digital space to America and Asia. To sustain a good future in Europe, we need to adapt.
