What we dive in today
🪐 Why the Jupiter is closer to Europe as you may think 🇪🇺
🎯 What you can expect from the Jupiter Dispatch 🤔
#1 🪐 Why the Jupiter is closer to Europe as you may think 🇪🇺
This is the story of how I came up with the name Jupiter Dispatch. And as promised in the caption, I explain what Jupiter has in common with Europe.
But first things first.
Why I have changed my newsletter from “Domi’s Favourite Things” to the “Jupiter Dispatch”?
After writing for over a year and gathering more learnings through this experience than I ever thought of, I felt the need to bring my writings to the next level.
To an other planet, if you will… (and yes there is a silly personal story behind 🙃)
Since I’m a little astrophysics nerd in private, I always like to watch the stars at night. During the time I thought about changing the newsletter, I watched Jupiter flying by my window nearly every clear night. (usually our planets are brighter than other stars at the night sky ✨)
And I was straight attached to the idea to name my next project after something with Jupiter in it.
As you can guess, Mission accomplished!
But how is this connected to Europe?
Because Jupiter is also the main god in the roman Empire religion. And as a perfect side fact, Jupiter has a moon called Europa. So tons of European history in this.
What a match.
If you want to dive deeper in my process of finding the right name and want to know why I changed from a personal newsletter to a writing brand, then read on the following link.
I promise this is worth your time…
#2 🎯 What you can expect from the Jupiter Dispatch 🤔
The short answer?
More of everything but without more time investment for you.
After collecting loads of feedback about what you liked and disliked, I came up with many new ideas. In terms of delivery, value and even the writing style.
There will be new formats, new sections and a new posting system.
The Posting Schedule
From next week on, I will post two times a week. Tuesdays and good old Thursdays.
Here is an overview for you:
But no worries. I don’t bother you with more readings. The mailings will be a bit shorter but the overall reading time will stay the same.
The new Sections
Transmissions from Jupiter: The original “Domi’s favourite Things”-Style. Curated links and comments straight in your inbox.
The Jupiter Library: Here I’ll post original articles written by me. The tone will be more serious.
The Public Mission Log: In addition with sections like “the Learning Launchpad” and “System Inspections”. To learn new skills and getting into the best tools out there.
Pioneers from (Moon) Europe: Engaging stories from Europe’s pioneers of business and in addition with sections like “from Space to X”, for the best social posts from the whole cyber space or “the Community Tab”.
Just to tell you a few… So be excited for great stuff coming transmitted to you soon…
Of course you will receive further details in the next “Public Mission Log’s” and how I test all of this in the future.
Feedback please! Tell me your thoughts and what you expect in these sections from me.
