Why you should asking the dumb questions more often

There’s a one-minute exercise to de-risking your life… And you certainly do this more often then not…
Imagine you wake up in a hospital, lose your job, or your partner leaves.
What’s the most likely reason? And what could you do today to prevent it?
Just some simple questions. What’s striking is the ratio of how important they are to how rarely you actually ask them yourself.
Every company should run its own version. Even Paul Graham built half of YC’s advice on exactly this idea.
Who’s your customer? Why aren’t they buying? What do they actually want?
Not clever questions, obvious ones, but most founders never sit down and answer them honestly.
There’s no magic system. Startups are just straight execution on simple questions asked relentlessly.
Ask the obvious ones more often. That’s the whole edge.
So question yourself more often and stay curious.
